The first two nights we stayed at the Rome Hilton Cavalieri which is a Waldorf Astoria collection hotel. It is not in the center of Rome but sits on side of a hill which overlooks Rome. We were upgraded due to my Hilton Honors "diamond" status to a city view room. It was fabulous! As you can see our view at night was amazing. The hotel concierge recommended a wonderful "locals" type Italian restaurant about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Was so good and reasonably priced that we ate there both nights.
