Regent's Mariner, our home for next 2 weeks!

At noon on Sunday, Nov 20th, we left the Westin hotel via bus provided by Regent.  It was about a 90 minute drive down to the port at Civitavecchia.  Embarkation was fairly smooth so was on the ship within 30 minutes of arriving at the port.  As usual with Regent we were met with glasses of champaign upon walking on the ship.  We had booked a "Penthouse C" suite for this cruise mainly because business class air was included with it.  It was much larger than our Cat H suite on the world cruise in 2010.  The Penthouse suites had a butler in addition to the stewardess.  Ram (pronounced with short a) took care of any special requests we had.  He also brought our breakfast every morning and at 5pm every evening he brought us canapes.  I ask him for some Makers Mark bourbon and next day there was a bottle in my cabinet.  He also made sure our frig was stocked with sodas, beer, and Rebecca's bottle of St Francis chardonay.  All this was included in our cruise fare.  Here is list of what was included at no extra charge:
All liquor in bars, dining room, or anywhere
Gratuities
Airfare
Transfers
All excursions at ports
Because we had over 140 days of sailing on Regent we also got free internet and the Dallas Morning New paper was printed off the internet for us daily.  I take my little American flag and fly it from balcony when we are in the ports.  Thank God they had Fox News on the tv.
