Westin Excelsior Rome

On Saturday we changed hotels.  Regent cruises was providing the pre-cruise night hotel as part of our cruise package.  So we moved to the Westin Excelsior hotel which was situated within walking distance to most of the sights in Rome.  It was also just next to the American Embassy.  Question: Why do we need to be spending US taxpayer money for these lavish Embassies??  Our room was not nearly as nice as the one at Hilton and this was old but not so fancy place but location was fantastic.  Next to last picture is of Embassy.  Last picture was taken at Girarrosto Fiorentino, where we dined Saturday night.  It was just around corner from Westin and recommended by our friend from world cruise, Paula Loguda.
